Coconut Row Boutique Hotel & Resort Policy: Booking, Cancellation, and Tour Guidelines in Hopkins, Belize

Things to Know:

  • Check-in is between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.  If you arrive early, we will do our best to accommodate you as soon as possible.  If you’re arriving later than 6 pm, please call or email us to make arrangements.
  • Check out is by 10:30 am.
  • Children are welcome, but pets are not allowed.

Taxes, Fees & Occupancy:

  • Prices are in US Dollars (USD) and do not include 9% Hotel Tax and 8% Resort Fee. (Hotel Tax may show up as “City Tax” on the reservation.)
  • Prices are based on double occupancy, the third and fourth guests each pay USD $25-$35 plus tax per night (depending on the unit). Unregistered guests will be charged a guest fee of USD $50 per night.  Under no conditions may the maximum occupancy of the unit be exceeded, except by a child under 3 who is sharing a bed.
  • Children under 3 are free as long as they are sharing a bed.

Payment Policy:

Rooms & Packages
  • To confirm your reservation a deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking, with full payment to be received within 31 days before arrival.
  • Reservations during peak season will be charged the full booking amount 90 days before arrival.
  • All prices are given in US Dollars but credit cards are charged in Belize Dollars.
  • All prices are subject to change without notice.
Tours & Shuttles
  • A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking, with full payment to be charged 7 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:

Rooms & Packages
  • Cancellations 61 days or more from the arrival date will receive a full refund, minus a $100 per unit processing fee.
  • Cancellations received 31-60 days before arrival date will receive a 50% refund. (The 50% deposit will not be refunded.)
  • Cancellations received 31 days or less from the arrival date are non-refundable. (The whole amount of the stay will be forfeit.)
  • Peak Season reservations are subject to a different cancellation policy – no refunds will be issued for cancellations or changes within 90 days of arrival.
  • No refunds will be given for unused meal plans, tours, or hotel rooms.

Changes in the reservation date are considered a cancellation of the original reservation and are subject to the same policy.

Please purchase Travel Insurance!  Please ensure that you have comprehensive travel insurance, as Coconut Row will not refund any rooms, tours, transfers or meals which have been pre-booked but cannot be used due to changes in travel plans, inclement weather, flight delays, illness or Acts of God.  There are many factors that can affect your trip, and we cannot be responsible for any changes or cancellations caused by things outside our control.

Shuttles & Tours
  • Tour cancellations received 14 days or more before the arrival date will receive a full refund of the initial deposit, less a 10% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations received within 13-8 days before the arrival date will receive a 50% refund of the initial deposit.

  • No refund will be given for cancellations made within 7 days of arrival date for any tour or shuttle.
  • If your tour is canceled by Coconut Row due to inclement weather or any other reason, your tour payment will be refunded in full.
  • Packages that include tours are subject to the room & package cancellation policy, not the tours policy.

Itinerary Changes, Airport Shuttles & Tours:

  • Airport Shuttles: We require at least 3 hours notice (by telephone or WhatsApp) for guest transfer cancellations in case of delayed or canceled flights, as we send our driver to Belize City to pick you up. Failure to notify us of delayed or canceled flights in time will result in the full charge of arrival transfer cost, as well as a waiting fee if the driver needs to wait more than one hour beyond the scheduled pickup time.
  • Itinerary Changes: Please ensure that you have comprehensive travel insurance, as Coconut Row will not refund any rooms, tours, transfers or meals which have been pre-booked but cannot be used due to changes in travel plans, inclement weather, flight delays, illness or Acts of God.
  • Breakfast for Tours: Please note that our restaurant opens at 8:00 am. If you are doing tours with us, we will ensure that you receive breakfast before your tour. However, we will not issue refunds to prepaid meals due to tours booked with another company that is leaving before we serve breakfast, nor can we call in the staff to open the restaurant early.
  • Boat Tours: We will happily refund your boat tour payment if we cannot take you on a scheduled boat tour due to rough weather conditions. However, we cannot guarantee pure sunshine during your visit. While we’ll make every effort to take you snorkeling in the best weather possible, we will not cancel a trip due to rain if the weather conditions are otherwise acceptable.
